Genealogical Research Service

Genealogy is the study of family history and ancestry through historical records. Whether you are seeking to learn more about your family origins or construct a documented pedigree, I offer research services tailored to your individual requirements.

Research typically includes the examination of civil registration records, parish registers, census returns, probate records, military records, newspapers, and other historical sources where available. Findings are presented in a clear and organised manner, together with references to the sources consulted.

Services may range from tracing a single family line to producing a multi-generational pedigree. Particular attention is given to accuracy, documentation, and the careful interpretation of historical evidence.

Every family history is unique, and research requirements vary considerably. For this reason, all projects are assessed individually to ensure that the most appropriate level of research is undertaken.

If you are interested in discovering more about your ancestry or commissioning genealogical research, please feel free to get in touch to discuss your requirements.

Fees Associated

As every family history project is unique, genealogical research is priced according to the scope and complexity of the work required.

Typical commissions range from £50 to £150, although larger projects may exceed this.

Following an initial discussion, a quotation will be provided and agreed before any research is undertaken.

Genealogical research is conducted using the records available at the time of research, and the existence of relevant records cannot be guaranteed.

PayPal is the main form of payment.

Geographical Scope

I principally provide genealogical services to clients within the United Kingdom; however, I also welcome commissions from North America. As all research, correspondence, and design work can be undertaken remotely, I am able to work with clients across multiple continents to provide services internationally where appropriate.

I would suggest contacting a genealogist local to you for easier record finding – there’s only so much I can do long-distance.

Should you have any questions regarding my services, fees, or the commissioning process, please do not hesitate to get in touch before proceeding. I will be pleased to discuss your requirements and answer any queries you may have.
