Relatives

Alexander claims descent from numerous British and European noble, royal, and clan families. These claims are derived from his own genealogical research and reconstructed pedigrees and should not be regarded as established fact. While some later generations are supported by documentary evidence, many earlier medieval connections remain speculative or unproven.

On his maternal line, Alexander claims descent from the Scottish clans Fraser (including Clan Fraser of Lovat through the Sim sept), MacThomas (through the MacCombie sept), MacArthur, Stewart, Macfie (through the MacPhee sept), Gordon (both through the Moir sept and a claimed descent from George Gordon, 2nd Earl of Huntly), Skene (including the Skene of Dyce branch), Crichton, Campbell, and Farquharson. Through these claimed Stewart lineages, he further claims both legitimate descent from King James I of Scotland via his daughter Annabella Stewart, and a possible illegitimate descent from King James IV of Scotland. He also claims descent from the Cruickshank family, a recognised sept of Clan Stewart via the Stewart of Atholl branch.

On his paternal line, Alexander claims descent from the St. John family of Bletso, the houses of Neville, Percy, de Warenne, and Beauchamp. His claimed descent from the St. John family includes Sir Anthony St. John and the Barons St. John of Bletso, whose family was closely connected to the Beauforts through Sir John St. John, half-brother of Lady Margaret Beaufort, mother of King Henry VII. Through his claimed descent from Ralph Neville, 1st Earl of Westmorland, George Neville, 4th Baron Bergavenny, Henry Percy, 2nd Baron Percy, John de Warenne, 6th Earl of Surrey, and Richard Beauchamp, 1st Earl of Worcester, he claims kinship with several of the principal noble families of medieval England.

Collectively, Alexander's research further claims connections to the royal houses of Normandy, Plantagenet, Lancaster, York, and Tudor. These include a claimed illegitimate descent from King Henry II of England through William Longespée, 3rd Earl of Salisbury, together with claimed descent from later Plantagenet monarchs including Edward III, the Lancastrian line through John of Gaunt, Duke of Lancaster, the House of York through the Neville family, and collateral kinship with the Tudor dynasty through the St. John and Beaufort families.

Alexander makes no assertion that these descents are proven. Rather, they represent genealogical claims based upon surviving records, published pedigrees, and ongoing historical research, many of which remain subject to further documentary verification.

He is currently commissioning the College of Arms (a Royal Corporation established via Royal charter) in London to prepare and place on record a pedigree of his Scottish maternal ancestry. Upon completion, the pedigree is expected to document his descent from Andrew Buchan, a clansman hailing from Clan Buchan, based upon the documentary evidence submitted during the genealogical process.

The pedigree will form part of the official records maintained by the College of Arms. His pedigree is being reviewed by James Peill, Garter Principal King of Arms.
